First Century Bank, a participant in the edamerica TEAM program for many years, has renewed efforts to provide access to low cost student loans. Because tuition costs have been rising faster than the rate of inflation, family incomes have not been able to keep pace. Through the TEAM program, First Century Bank can assist in exploring grants and scholarships as well as the loans associated with the Federal Family Educational Loan Program (FFELP).

These loans include the Stafford Subsidized Loan for students who demonstrate financial need; the Stafford Unsubsidized Loan designed for middle and upper income families who cannot qualify for the Subsidized Stafford Loan, the Federal PLUS (Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students) loan available to parents of students; and the Federal Consolidation Loan which allows the combining of student loans into a single loan.
