Q.What is First Century Bank’s (FCB) Online Banking?
A. With First Century Bank’s Online Banking you can get free up-to-the-minute information about your accounts and view account transactions including ATM and point of sale transactions that have been processed. You can transfer funds between eligible accounts including making payments on loans. You can download transaction information into money management software programs such as Microsoft® Money (OFX). Another feature of Online Banking is the ability to pay bills online with our optional Bill Payment service.

All internal account transfers made after 4:00 p.m. EST will be posted on the following business day.

Q.I have received error messages when attempting to access First Century Bank’s Online Banking. Why is this?
A. First Century Bank’s Online Banking requires an Internet browser with the highest level of security and 128-bit encryption. TEST YOUR BROWSER HERE: if an update is required you will receive further information. If no update is required for your browser and problems persist, you should contact First Century Bank’s Accounts Services at (423) 626-7261 during banking hours.

Q.What happens if I am already an online banking user and I open another First Century Bank account?
A. If you would like to view your new account online, you must ask your New Accounts Representative to add your new account to online banking.

Q.How do I know if my Internet browser has the right level of security and encryption for First Century Bank’s Online Banking?
A. You can TEST YOUR BROWSER HERE. If an update is required you will be given further instructions.

Bill Payment FAQ

Q. What is Bill Pay?
A. Bill Pay allows First Century Bank customers the flexibility of paying bills online around the clock, seven days a week.

Q. How does First Century Bank’s Bill Payment service work?
A. Through Bill Bay, your payments are electronically transferred from your First Century Bank's checking account to your payee's account through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network. If the party you are making a payment to is not setup for electronic transfer, a check is sent via US Mail. Recurring and future dated payments may be established.

Q. How will I know what payments have been made?
A. Payments are listed under 'current transactions' once a payment has been made. You also have the option of marking the payment to alert you once it is processed. The payment will also be clearly itemized on your monthly bank statement.

Q. What if my payee says they have not received my payment?
A. If your payee notifies you that a payment has not posted, please call First Century Bank's Accounts Services at 423-626-7261. We will need proof of payment to your payee and will work with you to resolve the issue.

Q. If my payment due date falls on a Saturday, Sunday, what should I do?
A. Online bill payments may be established with a payment date which falls on a Monday through Friday (excludes federal holidays). Payments established with a payment date of Saturday, Sunday or a federal holiday will be processed on the preceding business day. Remember the payment date is not the due date. Establish the payment date at least 5 business days prior to the payment due date for payments made electronically. For online payments made by check, establish the payment date at least 10 to 15 business days prior to the payment due date. If the due date falls on a weekend or a holiday, use the first business day prior to that due date and calculate your payment date accordingly.

Q. Do I need to contact my payees to tell them I am using First Century Bank’s Bill Payment service?
A. No. Using the Bill Payment service will not change the way your payments are credited or how money is moved through your accounts.

Q. Should I enter my Internet Bill Payment in my paper check register?
A. Yes. Entering online bill payments in your check register will help you to properly reconcile your checkbook with your First Century Bank statement each month.

Q. Can I place a stop payment on an online Bill Payment?
A. Electronic payments - You cannot place a stop payment on electronic payment transactions. However, you can delete the payment from the Bill Pay system before 11:00 a.m. EST, the day before the scheduled payment date.

Bill Pay checks - You can use our online Stop Payment service to stop payment orders on online bill payments that are check transactions. To place a Stop Payment on a check or a series of checks simply logon to Online Banking and select "Enter Stop Payment" under Activities. All information must be completed to process a Stop Payment. If you use our Online Stop Payment service, you agree that all of our normal rules for placing stop payments shall apply, and that all Online Stop Payments will be treated the same as if they were sent and received by telephone.
